The Taste of the Coast is an annual 'food and fun' festival brought to you by Risen Christ Lutheran School and Barefoot Landing.
Area restaurants will have booths set up so that you can sample the many different types of cuisine they offer, and there are fun and games for the whole family to enjoy while they spend a day together.
At our 2009 event, we had over 20 restaurants participating, activities for children like a Bouncy Castle, face painting, games, and also visits by local politicians, entertainers, and celebrities like the Myrtle Beach Pelicans mascot.
The primary purpose of the Taste of the Coast event is to raise scholarship and funds to benefit the students of RCLS through the support and efforts of the Grand Strand's culinary community and Barefoot Landing. As a result of the Eagle Scholarship Fund's existence, Risen Christ is able to tell inquiring families that no truly needy child will be turned away. The event also brings community awarness and recognition to all participants.
The 2009 event was such a success that we just know that 2010 will be even bigger, better, and more fun for all involved!
So on the first day of Spring in 2010, Be Ready to eat great food, and enjoy loads of family fun!
